James W. Ervin, Jr., MD
A native of Crystal Springs, Dr. Ervin stayed in-state for his medical degree, which he earned at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1986. He completed his residency in family practice at the University of Alabama – DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Following his residency, Dr. Ervin returned to Mississippi and worked as a family physician at several locations before returning to Crystal Springs in 1998. In 2004, he founded Family Medical Clinic of Crystal Springs, PLLC.
A fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), Dr. Ervin is double board-certified in family practice and obesity medicine. In addition, he is a certified clinical bone densitometrist and medical review officer.
As an active member of the local community, Dr. Ervin serves on the board of several non-profit organizations. He is passionate about the revitalization and restoration of the Crystal Springs Historic District and Chautauqua Park.
Jennifer Sojourner, CFNP
Jennifer received her bachelor of science in nursing from Mississippi College in Clinton, graduating cum laude in 2005. She then pursued her master’s degree in nursing at the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, where she graduated in 2010 as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (CFNP) and achieved the Academic and Clinical Excellence Award.
While earning her master’s degree, Jennifer joined Family Medical Clinic of Crystal Springs in 2007 as a Registered Nurse. Patients love her, and she is an important part of our medical team.
Jenna Gaddy CFNP
Jenna is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing. A native of Mississippi, her educational background began at Holmes Community College where she received her associate degree in applied science in nursing. She then obtained a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012 and a master of science in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi Medical Center in 2016.
Prior to her employment with Family Medical Clinic of Crystal Springs in the fall of 2023, Jenna worked at various clinics located in central Mississippi expanding her knowledge of gastroenterology/hepatology, infectious diseases, headache disorders and nephrology. She currently resides in the Crystal Springs area with her husband and two children.
Kamryn Sullivan Brewer, CFNP (Part-Time)
Kamryn holds a bachelor of science and master of science in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She began her nursing career in 2016, caring for premature and critically ill infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UMMC. In 2018, she joined the staff at Internal Medicine and Pediatric Associates in Ridgeland.
Having completed a portion of her clinical training at Family Medical Clinic of Crystal Springs while earning her master’s degree, Kamryn was pleased to join the practice in 2021. Originally from Crystal Springs and raised in Wesson, she enjoys serving her hometown. She currently resides in Madison with her husband, Brad, and their son, Ford.
